Fatehpur Sikari

It was the first planned city of Mughals and also the first one designed in Mughal architecture an amalgamation of Indian architecture, Persian and Islamic architecture. Qutub Minar, New Delhi

It is constructed by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak in 1192 and completed by Iltutmish. The height of Minar is 72.5 meter, the diameter of base is 14.3 meter and top diameter is 2.7 meter. The Qutub Minar is notable for being on of the earliest and most prominent example of Indo-Islamic architecture.

India Gate, New Delhi
tajmahal, adventure tours The India Gate is a national monument of India, situated in the heart of New Delhi. India Gate designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, inspired by the Arc de Triomphe, Paris. It is a prominent landmark in Delhi and commemorates the 90,000 soldiers of India Army who lost their lives in World Word I and the third Anglo-Afghan War. Here is also a Shrine under the arch of India Gate since 1971 known as Amar Jawan Jyoti which marks the Tomb of the unknown soldiers.

Of the original 85 temples, the 25 surving are among the finest in India. Ajanta Caves, Aurangabad

Unlike the caves at Ajanta, Ellora' s caves were never lost, but they were abandoned and forgotten. There are 34 caves, 12 are Buddhist (created from approximately 600-800 AD) 17 Hindu (600-900 AD) and 5 Jain (800-1100 AD).

Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhgaya, Bihar

The temple is locatede on the western side of the holy Bodhi Tree, a large and very old sacred fig tree where Lord Buddha is said to have achieved enlightenment, or Bodhi. In the Pali Canon, the site is called Bodhimanda and the monastery there the Bodhimanda Vihara.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (Victoria Terminus), Mumbai

It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. The station built in 1887 to commorate the Golden Jublee of Queen Victoria and popularly knwon as Victoria Terminus or VT. In 1996 its name was change to present name. It is one of the busiest railway station in India.

Sanchi Stupa, Madhya Pradesh
sanchi stupa, adventure toursThe Buddhist monuments of Sanchi dating from the 3rd centurey to 12th century BCE and it is one of the important places of Buddhist pilgrimage. It is situaged in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. The Great Stupa at Sachi is the oldest stone structure in India and it was originally commissioned by the emperor Ashoka the Great in the 3rd century BCE. Its nucleus was a simple hemispherical brick structure built over the relics of the Buddha. The Stupa is surrounded by Toranas they each represent love, peace, trust and courage.

Peruvudaiyaar Temple, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu

It is the world first complete granite temple and a good example of Tamil architecture by Cholas Kingdom. Brihandeeswarar Temple is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site "Great Living Chola Temples".
